Datura
Datura are an acid rock, stoner, psychedelic rock band, who released albums through Cranium Music.
1990s
Founded in 1993, their most stable long-term line up was Craig Williamson (bass, vocals), Brent Middlemiss (guitar) and Jon Burnside (drums), who were together from 1995 until their final release, 1999s Visions For the Celestial. Their last live show was at JBCs on August 27, 1999.
Craig Williamson began a solo career under the name Lamp of the Universe in 1999. Since 2008 he has fronted the stoner/doom, psych group Arc of Ascent.
2020s
Datura reformed in 2026. Williamson and Burnside are joined by Williamson's former Arc of Ascent bandmate Sandy Schaare (Sons of Apollo, Wolf Wizard) in the new lineup, with their return scheduled for Last Place in October.
