The Kumquats

The Kumquats were a funk pop band that grew out of Hillcrest High School in the late-1990s and played together until into the 2000s. They had a strong Christian fanbase and were popular at the Parachute christian music festival. They also played at Contact 89FM's Busking competition and in 2000s Battle of the Bands, bringing their loyal fanbase along with them.
They released the albums Collision (1998) and Live@TheMeteor (1999). All songs were written by Sam Trenwith. After the bands breakup, some of the members became The New KQ, who soon changed their name to Radiator.
